Meet the latest Maiora 27 megayacht, Antarah, which launched from the Italian shipyard in mid-July.
One of the most popular megayacht model lineups of the Fipa Group, the Maiora 27 measures 27 meters, or just shy of 89 feet. Since owners are welcome to customize certain elements, the owner of Antarah requested the large window below decks that’s so prominent in the photo above. It spills light into the master and VIP staterooms. Antarah’s owner further requested these same staterooms be accessed from the saloon and that the other two guest staterooms be reached via a stairway from the wheelhouse. The crew can service these cabins directly via a door to their accommodations.
Additional personalized touches: birchwood paneling throughout, to lighten and brighten the 6.3-meter-beam (21-foot-beam) interior; a sliding partition between the dining area and wheelhouse, to maximize privacy; a flying-bridge treadmill that stows away and forms part of a sunpad when not in use; and a 42-inch TV on the flying bridge.
Other elements of the all-fiberglass Maiora 27 series remain the same. Antarah is capable of a reported 29-knot top speed and 25-knot cruise speed given twin 1,935-hp MTUs. The yacht can be driven from the wheelhouse or the flying bridge. And her 1.7-meter (5’6”) draft ensures she can pull into skinny-water ports.
