May 9 marked the launch of the third Ferretti Custom Line 124.
The 124 is the largest megayacht made by Ferretti Custom Line. The other megayacht models offered are the 97, 100, and 112 Next, all being semi-displacement designs, plus the Navetta 26 Crescendo and Navetta 33 Crescendo, these being displacement designs. Interesting enough, the new 124 hit the water the day after a Navetta 26 launched and about six weeks after a 112 Next did the same.
The name of the new Ferretti Custom Line 124 hasn’t been revealed, though she’s the third built to date. Like her predecessors, she bears naval architecture by Studio Zuccon International Project and two Ferretti Group companies, AYT (Advanced Yacht Technology) and Centro Stile. Her beam is 24 feet (7.35 meters), which benefits the main-deck master suite and the large saloon. Four guest staterooms below decks, indoor and outdoor dining areas, and a handful of sunning/seating areas are other features. Ferretti Custom Line lets owners request different arrangements, too, plus different hull colors. The new 124 has a grey hull; the first launch (pictured), by comparison, had a blue one.
Remaining unchanged is the power package, twin MTUs that should permit a 27-knot maximum speed. Every Custom Line yacht also comes with Mitsubishi ARG stabilizers, damping roll at anchor and underway.
