The annual Neiman Marcus Christmas Book attracts lots of publicity, and purchases, for its Fantasy Gifts section. This year’s edition is no different—but skip the $100,000 hen house and special-edition, $354,000 McLaren 12C Spider. Instead, go straight to our choice for the ultimate gift, the JetLev R200.
Last year we named the JetLev the next must-have megayacht watertoy. We’re still convinced of it, so we’re glad to see that the folks at Neiman Marcus agree. They describe it as “one part sci-fi, three parts British secret service agent, and 100 percent pure adrenaline rush.” In case you still haven’t seen it in action, the JetLev R200 is a water-nozzle-equipped jetpack. Throttles on handlebars attached to the jetpack let you control your height and speed.
The Neiman Marcus edition has a top speed of 32 mph and allows you to reach a height of 30 feet. The single fuel tank reportedly permits four hours of fun. Of course, being a Neiman Marcus Fantasy Gift, the special JetLev R200 has Neiman Marcus-branded colors and graphics. You’ll also receive the standard equipment that every JetLev R200 comes with, including a jetpack stand (for storage), two helmet radios, an operator’s manual, and a CFI 1 Pilot Certification Training and Safety course. (A CFI is a person certified by the Federal Aviation Administration to teach student pilots.)
Perhaps the best thing about purchasing the Neiman Marcus edition of the JetLev R200: Neiman Marcus will donate $2,500 from each $99,500 unit to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County. The charitable organization, which many megayacht owners and megayacht businesses have supported for the past two decades, helps at-risk youth lead better lives.
