The recent signing of another megayacht in its steel-hulled 50M series marks the fourth megayacht that Heesen Yachts has signed this year.
At 162’7” (49.6 meters), the megayacht, hull number YN 17350, will have styling by Clifford Denn Design. Note the dramatic bow flare and flowing curves along the superstructure. The studio was founded nine years ago, after Denn worked with Martin Francis for the head-turning project Eco (now Enigma), among other projects.
The interior designer hasn’t been named, but the megayacht will accommodate a total of 12 in the owner’s party. Anticipate typical features like a main-deck owner’s suite, beach club, and tender garage, though the latter will be forward. The beach club will double as a gym, too. And the aft-deck bar should be interesting to see, as it’s partly indoors, too.
The proven hull design should permit the unnamed megayacht a 15-knot top end (half load), powered by twin MTUs. Heesen Yachts also anticipates a 4,000-nautical-mile range at 12 knots.
