March 2013 Motoryacht of the Month: Aquos Yachts’ Big Fish

Big Fish runningThe 148-foot (45-meter) megayacht Big Fish, built at McMullen & Wing for Aquos Yachts, has been making a big splash in her travels around the world since delivery in 2010. One of the more interesting and unusual destinations the megayacht spent time in: Antarctica, becoming one of several yachts that have ventured to the end of the world. As Richard Beattie, Big Fish’s owner, puts it, “I think yachting is about peak experiences, and for me those are in nature in remote areas. I have always wanted to go to Antarctica, and places like it. When I got into yachting, I discovered there’s no better way to enjoy these peak experiences than from the deck of your own boat.”

In this video, the Big Fish family shares their adventures from their time in Antarctica.
