Just because a megayacht is part of a series doesn’t mean she can’t have specialized features. That’s the case with the 141-foot (43-meter) Lady Genyr, just splashed at CRN. She represents the eighth megayacht in the Italian yard’s Navetta 43 series, which kicked off in 2007 with Emerald Star. Lady Genyr includes an elevator, marking a first for that lineup. It’s in keeping with the semi-custom nature of the Navetta 43. Owners are welcome to put their own imprint on the interior.
The all-fiberglass Lady Genyr also includes a different sundeck layout, said to make more use of the available space. (We don’t have details, though, on what exactly took place.) Regardless, bearing a 28’2” (8.2-meter) beam, the yacht further has the features that have attracted other owners to the Navetta 43, including a fold-down balcony off the owner’s suite on the main deck, and an emphasis on efficient and leisurely cruising, thanks to a bulbous bow and twin Caterpillar power. Top speed should be 15½ knots, with cruise speed expected to be 13 knots. Best range is 3,800 miles at 11 knots. Eight friends and family can join the owners aboard Lady Genyr, with nine crewmembers taking care of operations.
The transom gym aboard the megayacht may get a good deal of use by those friends and family. Imagine working out while steps away from the ocean. It’s a change of pace from the typical beach club and was a priority for the owners. No doubt there will be great music playing while someone is working out there, as Lady Genyr has an integrated entertainment and information system called MyOlos. Developed by CRN in conjunction with Videoworks and Intel, it gives fingertip control of everything from music to movies and lighting and air conditioning via an iPad.
Delivery for Lady Genyr should take place in July.
