The inflatable-slide company FunAir customizes its excitement-inducing toys for many a megayacht worldwide. Similarly, National Marine Suppliers provisions and services hundreds of megayachts worldwide. The two companies are now partners, with National Marine Suppliers serving as FunAir’s sole North American and European representative.
Texas-based FunAir, previously known as Poseidon Inflatables, was the first company to design and create the sealed-air slides that are popular with owners and charter guests alike. Crew appreciate them, too, since they are relatively simple to deploy and stow. The first yacht to feature a FunAir slide was Lazy Z, back in 2009. Chances are good that if you see a photo of Lazy Z, it also showcases her slide. As for National Marine, it provides a wide variety of products, ranging from PFDs to galley appliances to dock lines. Its Super Yacht Toy Division occupies most of its Fort Lauderdale headquarters. That same division stows and services tenders and toys when required, too.
The full lineup of FunAir products are available from National Marine. They include the Poseidon Playground, which includes a slide, a climbing wall, and more. There’s also the Swim Platform Extension shown here, one of FunAir’s newer products. The Swim Platform Extension keeps the ever-increasing number of tenders and toys organized. It also makes it easier for guests to board and disembark them. FunAir customizes it to fit your yacht’s dimensions and assortment of toys. For example, you can have just three PWC bays. Or, you can request one for a limo tender, two for PWCs, and one for a SeaBob. Regardless, all Swim Platform Extensions come with a non-slip surface and FunAir’s patent-pending SeaStairs. SeaStairs is a set of inflatable steps that swimmers can float up to, then stand up on and use to walk out of the water.
Pricing depends on customization, which can include your megayacht’s color scheme and logo.
