Delivered this past spring, Polaris may bear the same styling as previous Rossinavi projects, but she has a personality all her own. The 158’4” (48.29-meter) megayacht will showcase that personality at next month’s Monaco Yacht Show. However, you can get a sense of her style in this video.
Polaris is a sistership of Param Jamuna IV, delivered by Rossinavi in 2013. They are part of the builder’s Prince Shark series. The two feature strong, angular bows and a good deal of sharp, flowing lines throughout their superstructure. Nearly full-height windows in the saloon and master suite bring plenty of light inside. Team for Design, which also handled styling, worked with the owner of Polaris to fashion a super-luxe interior. In the video, you’ll note a eye-catching stone wall in the dining area, pin-dot lighting overhead flowing from the saloon forward, and a waterfall pool on the sundeck.
You’ll further see Polaris while she’s underway. Rossinavi says Polaris can cruise at 19 knots under half load, given twin 3,460-hp MTUs. Federico Rossi, Rossinavi’s CEO, says she hit a top end of 24 knots during sea trials. These figures are improvements over the performance of her sistership. Polaris is also said to see a nearly 3,800-nautical-mile range at around 9 or 10 knots.
