The newest model in the Sunseeker Yacht series, the Sunseeker 86 Yacht, is nearly ready for her closeup. Her formal reveal is set for next month’s Southampton Boat Show in the UK.
Befitting the rest of the builder’s lineup, the Sunseeker 86 Yacht cuts a stylish profile. Likewise, she promises swift speeds. Sunseeker says she should see 30 knots at the top end. The 86’3” (26.3-meter) megayacht does stand apart, though. She has a different hull form to allow for better range at displacement speeds. The Sunseeker 86 Yacht should achieve 1,500 nautical miles at 10 knots, for example. That’s several hundred miles better than her smaller Yacht sister, the 75 Yacht. About 1,321 gallons (5,000 liters) of fuel are aboard, too.
Interested buyers can tailor the interior of the Sunseeker 86 Yacht to their tastes. Surely you’ll want to keep the full-beam master, with a walk-in wardrobe. The 21’3” (6.47-meter) beam makes for three comfortable guest staterooms, too, one of which is a nice-size VIP. It’s situated in the bow, with its own set of stairs.
Those stairs lead down from the galley, the latter open to the helm as well. It’s a nice layout for megayacht owners who prefer a more casual atmosphere. There’s still formal dining aft in the saloon, flanked by full-height glass. However, barstools along the galley counter mean the Sunseeker 86 Yacht can treat you to dinner and a show.
More entertaining, of course, takes place on the flying bridge. No need to head below for a drink or snack, thanks to a bar and larger seating area up here. There’s further space for a hot tub, should you so wish. Have more sun-worshippers aboard? There’s a big sunpad on the 86 Yacht’s foredeck. It’s accompanied by a big U-shape seating area. Given the table installed along with it, the area’s ideal for private meals or cocktails at anchor.
Another nice, and unusual, feature: fold-out seating along the transom. This is in addition to the customary aft-deck seating arrangement, shaded by the flying-bridge overhang.
The Sunseeker 86 Yacht will premiere alongside a few smaller models from her builder at the Southampton show.
