Ground-breaking should take place in May for Harbour Twenty-Six, a megayacht marina with hurricane-rated, covered slips in Fort Lauderdale.
Harbour Twenty-Six will have a total of 26 slips for megayachts from 78’7” to 170’6” (24 to 52 meters, respectively). The facility is on the New River, a few minutes from the airport and across from the Lauderdale Marine Center. (If you’re familiar with the area, it’s the site of the former Pier 17.) Harbour Twenty-Six’s management team has nicknamed the property a “dockominium” because each slip further has two-level storage with an enclosed garage, plus additional parking.
With pricing from $1.8 million to $3 million, the berths should be ready for use next year. Eight slips have already been sold. (Denison Yacht Sales and Promarine Realty are jointly marketing slips.) Harbour Twenty-Six will, as you’d expect, offer 24-hour security. The management team further intends to make yacht crews feel at home. They’ll have access to the clubhouse, as will owners. The clubhouse will feature work stations plus a gym and entertainment areas. Outside, a pool and barbecue area will invite everyone to relax.
Harbour Twenty-Six will be managed by Jim Bronstien of US Marinas. Bronstien is a well-known yachting-industry veteran. US Marinas currently manages both the Palm Bay Club and Marina in Miami as well as Marina Palms Yacht Club in Aventura, Florida.
