UPDATE, MARCH 21, 2015: Tatiana came into full view yesterday, emerging from her dry dock. And what a view she is, judging from the photo above. Also note her mostly covered decks. This yacht is not for an owner who plans to lounge in the sun most of the day. Lürssen is still keeping mum on details about Tatiana. However, public records based on AIS data reveal the yacht has an impressive gross tonnage: 7,600.

This weekend one of the world’s largest megayachts became visible, ever so slightly, in Germany. She’s Tatiana—or, at least that’s her project name thus far. Tatiana is on pace to be completed by Lürssen within the next few months.
Details about Tatiana have been kept in strict confidence. Public records do shed a little bit of light, though. They reveal that her LOA is 410 feet (125 meters). No other information about her dimensions, or even her design teams, is yet available, unfortunately. Due to the structures surrounding her outside Lürssen’s shipyard, as seen at left, there isn’t even a way to make an educated guess about the stylist for Tatiana.
When more information does become available, we’ll update this article accordingly. In the meantime, we do feel confident of one thing: When Tatiana is completed, she’ll rank among the top 10 largest yachts in the world.
