If you spend your seasons cruising Italy, you can secure a long-term lease at Marina di Stabia in the southern part of the country.
Marina di Stabia is located in Castellammare di Stabia, on the Bay of Sorrento. The city of Sorrento is 6.2 nautical miles away. It’s also a short hop from popular ports like Capri and Positano. Guests arriving via land have the convenience of the Naples airport just 20 minutes away. History buffs will appreciate being a stone’s throw from Pompeii, too.
Seventy-seven of the 900 slips at Marina di Stabia are reserved for megayachts, to 328 feet (100 meters). The marina’s parent company, MDL Marinas Italia, is offering five-, 10- and 30-year leases for the berths. Since the facility is open all year, it’s a good option for those of you who enjoy more than just the summer in the Med.
The marina has many of the features megayacht owners and guests prefer, such as 24-hour security, restaurants, bars, and a gym. Free shuttles take you into town. Conference rooms in the harbor master’s area can be rented for business meetings. Additional fine dining, bars, and a pool are part of the yacht club. The view (above) from the yacht club out to Mount Vesuvius, Capri, and more may make you want to linger longer.
Marina di Stabia also includes a separate boatyard with 220-ton TraveLift. The surrounding waterfront is set to be further developed over the coming decade, too. Marina di Stabia will be joined by hotels, residences, shops, and a performance hall.
