Making her U.S. debut at Yachts Miami Beach, the Riva 76 Perseo marks a new look for the storied builder. She’s still a Riva, but bolder, daring to be edgier in styling. That’s not to say that the 76 Perseo eschews the luxury-lifestyle values that Riva has long upheld. Rather, the bolder looks benefit you and your guests.
Start with the glass along the 75’4” (22.98-meter) megayacht. There’s far more than other Rivas, and many other yachts in this LOA range. Including the windshield, there’s more than 430 square feet (40 square meters) of see-through surfaces. Speaking of the windshield, it has just one center stanchion, too, another marked departure. Yacht builders and designers are continually pushing for more glass and more natural light. With the 76 Perseo, Riva and Officina Italiana Design create the sensation of a solarium. It’s a welcome enhancement of the 18’9” (5.75-meter) beam.
Further enhancing your experience onboard are contemporary tones and textures that don’t detract from the view. Lacquered black window frames combine with teak furnishings, stainless steel accents, caramel-colored leather, and grey carpeting on hull number one. Buyers of the 76 Perseo can, of course, select other woods and soft goods to suit the main deck and three staterooms below decks.
Those staterooms include a full-beam master aft, down two additional steps. A twin is off a foyer, to starboard, with a VIP fully forward. Given that Riva devotes the 76 Perseo’s main deck mostly to relaxation (though a helm is also here), the galley also goes below decks. It’s between the master and twin cabin. Owner-operators may not mind, though. Those same owner-operators will appreciate the inclusion of a washing machine stowed off the foyer. A dryer is available on request.
Alfresco enjoyment is not just embraced by the 76 Perseo, but also encouraged. The swim platform lowers nearly entirely into the water for your convenience. It further makes launching the tender from the garage simpler. The garage can hold a boat up to about 10’7” (3.25 meters). Optionally, you can keep a second watertoy on the platform.
Further optional for alfresco fun is a sunbathing area for the aft deck. The standard configuration here is a seating area. Regardless, Riva includes a back-down station to port, adjacent to the crew-cabin access (beneath the stairs to the sundeck).
Here’s more of the 76 Perseo, which Riva says tops out at 32 knots under standard MAN V12s. Higher-horsepower MANs should let her see 37 knots.
