We’re now getting a better idea of what Silver Bullet, the first sailing superyacht from MCP Yachts, will look like come delivery next year.
Silver Bullet measures 100 feet (30.5 meters) and is engineered for simplified performance. Design is from A. Bottino Design & Engineering, a company well-versed in sailing superyachts. It’s responsible for several raceboats plus some Wally deliveries, including a Wally 100 and Wally 130. Silver Bullet has a lifting keel, a self-tacking jib, and a helm configuration keeping the captain in contact with guests. Total sail area: 2,314 square feet (215 square meters).
For convenience when Silver Bullet is anchored, the boom has an extension that doubles as a watertoy crane. Specifically, it launches the PWC, which is kept aft. Another tender, kept beneath the foredeck, gets launched by the gennaker halyard.
Also for convenience at anchor, Silver Bullet has a folding terrace. The image above shows it deployed. Even when the platform is back in position, the sailing superyacht has a good amount of usable space back here for socializing or relaxing.
The photo gallery here lets you examine on-deck and interior spaces aboard Silver Bullet. She’s meant for six in the owners’ party. The atmosphere aboard the 23’3”-beam (7.1-meter-beam) boat is being kept light and airy.
