Domani: Born From the Owner’s Desires & Benetti’s Experience

the custom 45-meter Domani: premiered at the Monaco Yacht Show

On one hand, you have an owner with many years of yacht-building experience and a very close relationship with Benetti. This enabled him to contribute actively throughout the construction process. On the other, you have a shipyard which listened to the customer’s requests and brought all its team professional expertise. From this collaboration is born the new Domani. The 45-meter is truly original, built from steel and aluminium, with two remarkable features. She can operate worldwide (a range of 4,000 miles at 10.5 knots), and has plenty of interior and exterior spaces.

This is the fifth yacht the owner has built with Benetti. Domani is his first tailor-made yacht, truly representing the way he enjoys the sea with his family. Lots of space is dedicated to social activities, entertainment, and relaxation. Technical areas are completely independent, so that the yacht can run without encroaching on the guests.

The yacht has four decks and accommodates 12 guests. Four double cabins are below decks, while the full-beam owner’s cabin is on the main deck, with a private balcony. The owner’s customization is especially notable aft on the upper deck and sundeck. He fitted out the upper deck as a sun-lounging area, and split the sundeck into three areas. Domani has a lounge and sunbathing area aft, a dining area in the center with a veranda door acting as a partition, and a pool and sunning space forward. As a result of the customization, the sundeck offers flexible enjoyment, in various different ways. Furthermore, another sun-lounging area at the bow (below) has 100 square meters of space particularly suited to cocktail parties or informal meals. Finally, the beach club has a door that opens downwards, providing 33 square meters at the water level and a bar to enjoy in company.

Benetti Domani

Domani has received so many enthusiastic opinions that Benetti has turned it into a line of yachts

The interior layout is the result of a close collaboration between the owner and architect Carlo Galeazzi. They created a boat that reflects the owner’s personality, while simultaneously showcasing true Italian style, featuring world-famous Italian brands. One of the innovations Galeazzi wanted to introduce is the use of loose furniture. The custom beds, for example, create the feeling of being “at home” and provide more storage space.

Domani’s full custom soul is such a success that Benetti has turned it into a full-fledged line of yachts. The second unit is already under construction, and several negotiations are underway for subsequent units.
