Three Informative Sessions to Attend for Free
Refit International Exhibition & Conference, a.k.a. the Refit Show, will host free live demos of resin-infusion repair on the exhibit-hall floor.
Held at the Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the Refit Show takes place January 26 and 27. The series of demonstrations is entitled “Demystifying Vacuum Resin Infusion Repairs.” Attendees will learn about the process used to make strong, efficient hull repairs. Composites guru Andre Cocquyt is presenting the live demos. He is well-known for leading the United States in closed-molding technology. In addition, Andre wrote the curriculum for the American Composites Manufacturing Association certification in vacuum infusion. He has also educated composites technicians around the world.
Andre is further leading a seminar, scheduled for the 26th at 10:30 a.m. It’s a comprehensive overview of the resin-fusion repair process. This includes technical information and tips. Immediately following, Andre presents a live infusion repair of a damaged cored laminate in the exhibit hall. Then, at 2:00 p.m., Andre returns to the live demos area to present an infusion of a cored laminate on a glass plate. He’ll show how the resin travels equally as fast on both sides of the core. He’ll simultaneously demonstrate how common mistakes make the process go badly. Finally, on the 27th at 11:30 a.m., Andre presents his final demonstration, another infusion repair of a damaged cored laminate. Refit Show attendees can visit the demo area anytime to view the displays of the infusion set-up and see examples of infusion repair topics.
Show visitors may attend the live demos for free and purchase tickets to the seminar.
