Yacht buyers at this week’s Singapore Yacht Show are getting the first thorough looks at the latest V-Line proposal from Baglietto. The design, by Santa Maria Magnolfi, measures 180 feet (55 meters).
Announced last fall, the V-Line is a series strongly focused on the 131- to 164-foot (40-to 50-meter) market. By working with multiple leading designers, Baglietto intends to offer diversity in styling and interior design. Flared as well as vertical bows characterize the V-Line, as does strong, somewhat militaristic styling, a thematic tie to Baglietto’s past.
Baglietto actually announced the 180 from Santa Maria Magnolfi last fall, too. In fact, the shipyard mentioned two further V-Line designs from the studio at that time. Specifically, they were a 135-footer and a 164-footer (41- and 50-meter). However, until now, it hadn’t revealed detailed information or any images.
As you’d expect, the interior configuration offers spacious private places as well as common gathering areas. Santa Maria Magnolfi penned the master suite with a balcony and a dedicated office. If the eventual buyer decides to conduct bigger business meetings aboard, the 226-square-foot (21-square meter) dining area can convert to a conference room due to sliding wall panels. For fun, Santa Maria Magnolfi included a 20-person alfresco dining area on the upper deck, just steps from a significant-size cinema. Forward on the same deck, you’ll find a 20-foot-long (6-meter-long pool. The upper deck, by the way, measures 861 square feet (80 square meters). You can go from here down to the beach club, with a gym and spa, or to board watertoys swiftly thanks to an elevator connecting all three decks. (Toys get stowed in forward and aft garages.)
Santa Maria Magnolfi’s design uses a proven hull form. Baglietto says you can expect a 12-knot cruise and 16-knot top end with twin Caterpillar engines. Alternately, hybrid power is available.
All V-Line projects are available to start construction. Baglietto has five various-size other motoryachts in build at the moment.
