Unusual interior layouts are just some of the things awaiting a buyer from German aboard his custom 207-footer (63-meter) from Benetti. Since Benetti is not revealing the megayacht’s name, at least at this point, it refers to her by her hull number, FB276.
As is the case with all of the custom megayachts from the Italian builder, FB276 features a steel hull and aluminum superstructure. Styling comes from a well-known design studio, along with Benetti’s own team. Giorgio Cassetta Design is a longtime collaborator with the yard. His styling graces a number of fully custom as well as series-built megayachts there, in fact.
FB276 gets her unusual interior layouts, as well as overall decor, from Bannenberg & Rowell. While not every room has an unexpected arrangement, the ones that do offer it for specific reasons. For example, Benetti says the beach club sits somewhat off center. It’s still just off the stern, of course, plus it has three fold-down platforms, for enhanced views. But, the repositioning should give FB276’s owner and guests somewhat different views, too. (On a side note, guests can use the beach club underway, with the platforms closed, thanks to a stairway leading from the main deck.) Also off center, both the main saloon and upper-deck saloon. Bannenberg & Rowell and the owner saw a way to break with tradition that actually should enhance the onboard experience.
Also sure to enhance the onboard experience, for the owner, is the master suite. Benetti likens it to an apartment. That’s actually a good description, since the suite occupies 1,744 square feet (162 square meters). Wrap-around windows forward provide views out over a private terrace, and helipad. As you can see in the rendering below, that terrace gets shade, and privacy from the wheelhouse directly above, from an extended overhang.
One last unusual layout feature: the VIP suite. FB276 treats Very Important People to a main-deck stateroom spanning the full beam, plus featuring a balcony.
Bannenberg & Rowell states the delivery date for FB276 is set for March 2019.
