When a yacht builder also offers refit services, it simply makes sense to some owners and captains to take their yacht back there for updates and upgrades. So, with that in mind, Ciao said “Ciao!” to Moonen upon arriving in December.
The 95-footer (29-meter) launched from the Dutch builder in 2007, under the name Nilo. She was the first in Moonen’s 94 Alu series, in fact. The original owner enjoyed extensive cruising onboard, from delivery date straight through 2015, when he sold her. The current owner has some cruising of his own in mind, so he has a list of works for Moonen to tackle.
You’ll learn the plans for Ciao, and more, in the January 2018 edition of the MegayachtNews.com newsletter.
Furthermore, we explain how you and your crew can help the electronics specialists at Navionics remap South Florida. Following the hurricanes, debris fields need noting, among other things. The company will provide a year of daily updates for free to anyone who uploads data directly to their dedicated remapping site.
We also take a brief look at the New Zealand Millennium Cup, the annual regatta returning later this month.
