Long known for its fast maxis, the famous Mangusta brand has a fast-displacement series catching on with customers, too.
Overmarine Group is one of the few remaining family-owned shipyards in the Italian yachting industry. Not only owned, but always managed, too. In fact, the Balducci family has been building boats since the 1950s. It established the Mangusta brand in 1985. Innovation and a pioneering approach to using cutting-edge technologies drive the brand. These ensure high performance, which goes hand in hand with the utmost comfort. Mangusta’s constant, strong presence started with Maxi Opens, which have become the benchmarks among fast and sporty yachts. Today, there’s also the Mangusta Oceano, the long-range displacement series, and the most recent addition, the Mangusta GranSport fast-displacement line.
Overmarine Group designed the Mangusta GranSport line to combine style and technical solutions, timeless elegance and minimalist design, sporty features and comfort, outstanding performances and maximum efficiency. Above all, thanks to cutting-edge technology, the Mangusta GranSport fleet can travel long distances easily, quickly, and comfortably. All the while, the yacht ensures maximum onboard comfort. This is a key feature making the line truly versatile. In addition, it lets her offer the most precious gift any owner can dream of: total freedom and flexibility in managing their time.
This successful combination of different features and values has also inspired the newest model in the series, the Mangusta GranSport 33 (top). Presented at Mangusta’s new showroom in Miami Beach last February, this entry-level model shares the larger models’ flawless blend of style and state-of-the-art technology. In fact, last Christmas the first yacht in the line, a 54-meter, set an important record for the shipyard. She effortlessly completed an Atlantic crossing in only six days, carrying her owner and several guests! This is indeed the first Mangusta ever to cross the Atlantic Ocean. She is bound to become the new benchmark in aluminum fast-displacement yachts.
The Palm Beach International Boat Show is an opportunity to see another side of Mangusta’s yachtbuilding capability. The Mangusta Oceano Namastè (above) is in the United States for the first time. Upon her debut at the Fort Lauderdale boat show, she won the “Best of Show” award. The Mangusta Oceano line emphasizes high onboard comfort for the owner, guests, and crew. Simultaneously, it balances indoor and outdoor spaces. The three-deck yacht’s ability to surprise extends to the technical level, too. It starts with the high range values at various speeds, exceeding 4,500 nautical miles. It continues with noise attenuation.
The current Mangusta range includes:
