“Seeing a new Navetta enter the water is a powerful emotion,” says Alberto Galassi, CEO of Ferretti Group. Emotions stirred for the owners of the Custom Line Navetta 38 yacht debuting yesterday, too. In fact, they watched as their soon-to-be-delivered yacht lowered into the water.
The last day of January was the first day in the water for the new series overall. As a Navetta model, the megayacht blends classic seagoing styling with modern looks like carved-out bulwarks for better views. The underpinning concept is a stronger connection to the sea inside and outside. Engineering additionally picks this idea up, with the 127-foot (nearly 39-meter) Navetta 38 yacht capable of 2,800 nautical miles at 10 knots.
In traditional fashion, confetti in the colors of the Italian flag burst into the air during the ceremony. All design and construction of the project took place at the Ferretti Group Superyacht Yard in Ancona, Italy. Styling comes from Filippo Salvetti, putting a big emphasis on bringing sunlight inside. Notably, the aft main deck and forward portion of the sundeck are glass instead of solid bulkheads.
Among the other features that caught attention when the Ferretti Group announced the new series last fall: an open-air beach club. It forms when the sides of the transom fold down, revealing a settee facing the sea and creating extra space for loose lounges. It simultaneously serves as a perfect jumping-off area for swimmers and boarding area for watertoys.
With a volume of 299 gross tons, the Custom Line Navetta 38 yacht spreads relaxation areas across four decks. Among the most coveted, the master suite encompasses upwards of 431 square feet (40 square meters) on the main deck. Although the design details for hull number one aren’t yet public, the series offers a choice of décor packages categorized according to mood. For instance, the cool mood includes sky blue and navy blue tones. The warm mood, meanwhile, includes creamy neutrals. Either way, the interior-design team of ACPV Architects and Custom Line Atelier incorporate linen and other natural materials, too, with the owners’ input.
Seven crewmembers and the captain will ensure the journeys the owners wish to pursue with eight family and friends are memorable.
