Nearly 30 years ago, the Lazzara 76 established itself as a groundbreaking design, and established Lazzara Yachts as a groundbreaking shipyard. The family-run builder is aiming for the same with the Lazzara LSY 95, a semi-custom sport-yacht design that can see delivery in 2021.
This 95-foot (29-meter) megayacht is an in-house design, too. Sleek in profile, she incorporates features you might expect to see on larger craft. For instance, fold-down bulwarks flanking the aft deck expand usable space beyond the standard 20’8” (6.34-meter) beam. Even with the bulkheads raised, though, the deck area is extra enjoyable, thanks to glass insets permitting better views while you’re sipping coffee or simply socializing. Speaking of the views and socializing, the facing C-shape settees here rotate electrically, too. In addition, your tender or PWC stows beneath the adjacent aft sunbed, which accommodates three to four guests.
For practical needs, a sunshade extends out from the LSY 95 flying bridge’s overhang. The same is true for the hardtop over the flying bridge, though glass insets simultaneously let light come through. Because you can never have too much entertaining space, the flying bridge additionally has a sinuous settee wrapping along the aft edge and flowing all the way along the port side. Finally, a bar sits opposite the settee.
A maximum of five staterooms, including the master, all sit below decks aboard the Lazzara LSY 95. Again, since the yacht offers personalization, you can configure them the way you wish. However, surely you’ll keep yours full beam. Interestingly, the fold-down balcony visible in the artist’s rendering above isn’t in your suite in the suggested general arrangement. Instead, it’s off an extra lounge-like area, opposite the galley.
Featuring carbon fiber composite construction, the Lazzara LSY 95 is engineered for strong performance with Volvo Penta’s IPS propulsion system. Choose between the standard triple IPS 1200s or optional triple IPS 1350s. With the standard package, you should see a top speed of 32 knots and a cruising speed around 28 knots.
Lazzara Yachts Group, which announced a shipyard in Turkey earlier this year, will have more details about the LYS 95 at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.
