Although chocolates or flowers (or both) are perfectly acceptable expressions of love, isn’t a superyacht an even better one? Every year, dozens of owners christen their yachts in honor of their spouses, for instance. Better yet, some use “love” in the yacht’s name. Along those lines, these are our favorite superyacht names.
Amor à Vida
A 221-foot (67.5-meter) CRN delivered last year, Amor à Vida (above and top) is, as her name translates, all about love of life. Cozy corners for private time together, for example, plus family-friendly spaces and pops of joyous colors in the décor all characterize her. With six decks and accommodations for 12, she’s available for your own romantic trips, too, since she charters. Amore Mio
Celebrating her 10th birthday this year, the yacht Amore Mio—“my love” in English—has a love of speed, too. She’s capable of a top end of 30 knots. Inside, the 148-footer (45-meter) surrounds 10 guests with rich-toned flamed American walnut paneling. Limestone is part of the décor, too, and if you look closely at some slabs, you’ll see fossils.
In Love
How could a list of our favorite love-themed superyacht names be complete without at least one sailing yacht? The yacht In Love has been in the hands of the same owner since delivery in 2014. If that isn’t a further testament to deep emotions, nothing is. With a canoe stern, trailboards, and a bowsprit, the yacht has classical flair. Multiple rooms make it clear you’re aboard a yacht with rib-like framing, mimicking her wood hull frames. LOA: 116 feet (35.6 meters).
Liv Love
Less than a year old, Liv Love is 134 feet (40.8 meters), a Benetti Oasis 40M project. She just joined the international charter fleet as well, with her weekly base rate starting at $235,000. Indulge in couples-only cocktails overlooking the pool at sunset on the Oasis Deck, a.k.a. the beach area. Two-person kayaks, for private exploration time, are among her watertoys as well.
Love
Love-themed superyacht names don’t get more straightforward than this. Nearing two years on the water, Love is a Ferretti Infynito 90 (26.97-meter). Arguably the most romantic place onboard is the All-Season Terrace (above). An Infynito series feature, it’s a cozy foredeck lounge sheltered by a superstructure extension, making it extra-private.
Secret Love
If classic-looking yachts tug at your heartstrings, then you might just fall in love with Secret Love. From her oval ports to her canoe stern, she exudes traditional styling. Dating to 1990, the 119-footer (36.5-meter) has a great backstory. Firstly, she’s the smallest yacht from Amels, but as the builder says, she’s big on personality. Secondly, the same family has owned her for about 20 of her years of cruising. Furthermore, she can be yours, since she’s for sale for €3.6 million (about $4.3 million).
