The range of offerings from Hodgdon Yachts’ tenders division is growing with some new forward- and aft-helm models. It’s the result of a first-time partnership between Hodgdon Tenders and Espen Øino International. Together, they have created a handful of limousine tenders with more modern flair.
Similar to Hodgdon’s Limousine, Open, and Beachlander models, the new boats are categorized according to their LOA in meters. The boats range in lengths from 9 to 11 meters (29’5” to 36 feet). Additionally, Hodgdon Tenders and Espen Øino International created the new line on proven hull forms. On a related note, all of the new models can drive single or twin engines.

The choice of a forward helm (top) versus an aft helm (above) really comes down to personal preference. All of the tenders have beautifully outfitted interiors, for instance, tailored to your tastes. Good-size hull windows ensure you and your guests have a view en route, too. When the weather is nice, the forward- and aft-helm models all further have retractable roofs and opening aft bulkheads, so that you can enjoy more fresh air. Yet another choice, but solely for the aft-helm tenders: a bow ramp for direct beach disembarking and boarding. The forward-helm versions, meanwhile, have ample open space aft.
Audrey Hodgdon, managing director for Hodgdon Tenders, says the more contemporary profile for the new boats complements the more classical Venetian tenders it has. The teaming of Hodgdon Tenders and Espen Øino International made sense on another level, too. “In addition to designing a beautiful boat, Espen and his team understand how the tender gets used by owners, guests, and crew,” Hodgdon notes. “A lot of thought went into functionality and practicality.”

The news comes on the heels of the debut of the Maserati Tridente, a dayboat/tender from the famed Maserati auto company and Hodgdon Tenders. It’s an all-electric boat, too.
