If the recently revealed renderings for the explorer-esque Atlante Classic 35 yacht convey anything, it’s that the owner enjoys simple sophistication. There’s a quiet luxury to the look, exuding grace without affectation. It’s quite a departure from the initial idea, yet still suits the superyacht’s purpose.
Marking a construction milestone in March, the 113-footer (34.5-meter) is a high-volume, capable cruiser. At an impressive 330 gross tons, she has accommodations for 10 and the leisure areas you’d expect of a luxury yacht. The steel-hulled project, in build at Mengi Yay Yachts in Turkey, further should be able to put upward of 5,000 nautical miles under her hull without refueling.

The owner, from northern Europe, signed with Mengi Yay, along with VYD Studio for styling and interiors, partly through the advice of Atlante Yachts. The company provides a host of services from design and engineering consultation to contract terms and specifications. Additionally, since it operates independently, Atlante Yachts recommends each shipyard on a case-by-case basis. The team remains involved through the construction process as on-site supervisors, then provides after-sales service, too.
According to Paolo Dose, head of design for VYD Studio, initially the owner wanted a traditionally formal, conservative décor. “However, the progressive involvement of the owner brought a refreshing renewal to the project,” he says. The Atlante Classic 35 yacht has a particularly polished serenity as a result. “Now, the design looks elegant yet informal, simple yet refined,” Dose adds.

This came about through a few things. Primarily, Dose says, he and the owner put their heads together “to reduce the number of lines in the design to make them stronger, combining round and straight elements.” It cleverly echoes the curved forms so prevalent among classic yachts. Additionally, Dose and the owner agreed on strict adherence to certain shapes and materials throughout the spaces. Specifically, only up to five different materials come together for the décor in each room. This lends a coherent and even cozy look.
From the master suite to the skylounge, you’ll find blonde-hued walnut, for instance, along with natural hues for fabrics—themselves natural, too—and marbles. This isn’t to say that the Atlante Classic 35 yacht lacks color, however. The striking green marble in the master bath is certainly bold. But, it’s an inherently suitable tone, found everywhere in nature. Regardless of room, the owner and Dose agree that the finished look will lend the feeling of being on a much bigger boat.

The RINA-classed project is on pace for completion next spring. In the meantime, hull number two in the series is available for sale. Depending on contract signing, delivery can take place as early as 2026.
