A 145-foot (44-meter) fast cruising sloop in build at Vitters Shipyard is nearing completion—and is for sale. The yacht Magic has ushered in the New Year after two and a half years of construction.
In fact, the shipyard spent the first several days of 2025 moving the sailing superyacht out from her build shed and to the water for mast stepping. With styling and naval architecture by Reichel/Pugh, the sloop poked her bow out from her shed doors on January 3. The trailer towing her out transferred directly onto a barge, which made the journey from the yard’s headquarters in Zwartsluis, The Netherlands, to Amsterdam. Four days after she first exited the shed, the yacht Magic lowered into the water carefully via a crane. Finally, on January 8, crews stepped her 203-foot-tall (62-meter-tall) mast.
Craftspeople are completing the interiors ahead of sea trials, set for the next few weeks. A good volume of 304 gross tons should feel extra ample thanks to abundant glass in the superstructure. This includes skylights, too. A total of 10 people, including the owners, have a warm ambience, with suitably warm tones and modern furnishings, to enjoy. From Design Unlimited and Pieter Laureys, the interior includes an open-plan saloon and formal dining area, which open out to the aft cockpit thanks to sliding glass doors. Since it’s covered, the cockpit can play host to meals, good conversations, and sightseeing in a variety of weather. Come nighttime, guests can retire to two staterooms aft of the engine room and two cabins forward of it. Additionally notable, one of those forward cabins has bunk berths for kids. The owners have a full-beam suite, of course, fully aft, containing an office.
Once at anchor, the yacht Magic affords the owners and guests further relaxation areas. For instance, the transom opens to reveal a beach area. Steps away, meanwhile, good open aft-deck space invites everyone to stretch out.
When she’s underway, though, the yacht Magic, with a crew of seven, will be able to tap her blade, staysail, and more sails with hydraulics developed in house by Vitters. Yet another important feature, she has a battery bank to permit silent overnights for eight hours.
Interested parties can see Magic while she’s still in Amsterdam, through Burgess, her central sales agency. Delivery takes place next month, after which she’ll make way for the Med.
