Lynx Yachts has met with success constructing shadow yachts. Some of those same models serve as stand-alone cruisers for those who enjoy venturing off the beaten path. The owner of the first Lynx Yachts YXT 34 yacht seems intent on doing that, too. With construction having just started, his small superyacht will carry land and sea craft, for adventures above and below water.

The 111-footer (34-meter) is the flagship of the XYT series, created to hold lots of watertoys, staterooms, and crew cabins. The owner of this first hull is, according to Lynx Yachts, a “young, highly athletic individual” with pretty specific ideas. “We were selected among competing shipyards for our quality and our ability to provide the owner with a design and specification that match exactly his requirements,” says Slim Bouricha, Lynx Yachts’ founder. For example, the standard configuration for the Lynx Yachts XYT 34 (shown) provides 1,561 square feet (145 square meters) of open aft deck space. Multiple PWCs, a limo tender, a big RIB, and a personal sub all can fit alongside each other here. Even so, the shipyard says this owner pushed stowage to the last possible millimeters.

In fact, it’s maximized not just on deck, but below decks, too. For starters, a personal submarine sits under the deck. That frees up room for a “massive” 4×4 expedition vehicle for roaming on land once in port. Launching and retrieving them comes via a knuckle-boom crane (in red in the illustrations). A larger-than-typical primary tender sits on deck as well, as do multiple waterbikes. And these are just for starters.

Although details on the décor materials aren’t available, the owner wants a calm, sophisticated look and feel. Three staterooms will be aboard, spread across 156 square feet (14.5 square meters). Notably, for other clients who prefer the XYT 34 yacht serve as a shadow yacht, this same space can be for cold stowage and laundry. Or, part of the space can be a gym/massage room.
Lynx Yachts expects delivery to take place in early 2028.
