Last week and this week saw two Canados 86 megayachts make their way into the water for the first time.
The shipyard, which dates back to the 1940s on the Tiber River in Rome, says the 86 is one of its most popular models. (Canados offers blying-bridge versions of a 76, 86, and 116, plus an Open 90.) While its in-house team handled both exterior styling and interior design for the two new 86 megayachts, each was customized. The image below shows the saloon for the first of the two to launch. Maple and black-stained ash combine with white leather and white-stained parquet details. LEDs serve as overhead lighting, and Japanese cookware is on the flying bridge. Meanwhile, the second 86 features high-gloss maple, natural-tone wenge, and bamboo stained to look like wenge. The owner also wanted iPhones and iPads to serve as controllers for the entertainment system.

Layout-wise, both 21-foot-beam yachts are the same: four staterooms and accommodations for two crew below decks; flying bridges devoted to sunning and relaxing; and a tender garage.
Both megayachts will spend time in the Med upon delivery. They’re reportedly capable of 33-knot top speeds thanks to twin 1,800-hp Caterpillar C32s.
