The Canados 116 has been Canados’ flagship flying-bridge model for some time. The Italian yard recently launched its latest 116, named Bertona.
As with other Canados 116s, Bertona features naval architecture from the yard’s in-house team. She bears the sleek profile of other models offered by Canados and a 23-foot (7-meter) beam. She also offers the same performance as other 116s. Twin 2,400-hp MTUs permit a reported 29-knot top speed and 25-knot cruise.

Also as is tradition, the interior of this Canados 116 features the owner’s input. It was conceived in collaboration with Studio Salvagni Architetti. The main deck contains the customary saloon and dining area, along with the galley and a day head. Much of the furniture was custom-made by the yard, employing whitened oak and ebony. Both are complemented by bamboo for the soles. Oak, ebony, and bamboo come into play again below decks in all of the staterooms: two twins, a VIP, and the owner’s suite. There’s also leather wrapping around the bed frame.
A crew of six, with staterooms accessed via stairs off the galley, is also aboard Bertona. Wrap-around decks allow them to go about their duties with ease. The wheelhouse is solely their domain. Though a small space, it’s akin to that aboard other flying-bridge megayachts from other shipyards and places instrumentation within easy reach and sight.
