In less than a month, you can tour the second Canados 120 megayacht, which was just delivered to her owner. Friendship, as she’s been christened, will make her boat-show debut at the Cannes Boat Show in September.
Similar to Far Away (pictured), Friendship is a semi-custom megayacht measuring 118’8” (36.22 meters) and with a beam of 23’8” (7.25 meters). Her sleek styling hints at her swift speeds, reportedly 23 knots at cruise and 27 knots at top end, courtesy of twin 2,600-hp MTUs. While she’s not meant for long-range voyaging—cruising range is less than 500 nautical miles, according to Canados—the Canados 120 is well suited to poking around harbors, jumping from island to island, anchoring out, and related activities.
Inside, the 145-ton-displacement Friendship features design work by Cristiano Gatto Design. (As a point of contrast, Far Away’s interior was designed by Francesco Paszkowski.) The owner requested a mostly white interior, so abundant lacquered wood is used from the main deck to the three guest staterooms below decks, offset by a richer-toned walnut in some areas for furniture trim and soles. The master suite, forward on the main deck, also follows the color scheme, brightened further by fold-down balconies.
