Fidelis is one of many members of the Perini Navi family of sailing superyachts. Specifically, Fidelis, launched in 2011, is the 56th boat to be handed over by the Italian yard. Furthermore, she’s the 10th yacht in Perini Navi’s 56-meter series, measuring 184 feet LOA. That’s the same series that has seen the likes of Panthalassa, Rosehearty, Selene, and Salute come to life.
The ketch carries a 16,146-square-foot (1,500-square-meter) sail plan that, as this video shows, gives her a powerful profile. Fidelis has put it to the test in regattas ranging from the Perini Navi Cup to the St. Barths Bucket. Her lifting keel has similarly been put to the test. Draft ranges from 13 feet (3.95 meters) with it up to 31’11” (9.73 meters) when it’s down. Proven to be capable of 16 knots, Fidelis was designed for spirited performance in a variety of air.
When not racing, Fidelis is an ideal entertaining platform. Fore and aft cockpits invite guests to enjoy the breeze or catch some rays. If the sun proves too much, the crew of Fidelis can extend an awning over the forward cockpit. The flying bridge extends Fidelis’ relaxation space, plus grants the helmsman quite good visibility. Other sailing superyachts in the same Perini Navi series have had flying bridges, too, but the one aboard Fidelis is definitely larger, for more sunning, lounging, and dining.
Enjoy this look at Fidelis, which includes terrific aerial footage as well as scenes of her serene interior. That interior includes a full-beam master suite, four guest staterooms, and a decor comprised of maple, teak, walnut, wenge, leather, parchment, and steel accents. It’s quite contemporary, but also quite warm, mostly due to the choice of rich chocolate and caramel tones. That same warmth makes even the most spacious rooms feel more intimate and welcoming.
