With a model name reminiscent of why so many people enjoy yachting, the Riva 110 Dolcevita slipped into salt water on March 22. She’s officially the largest Riva yacht to date.
This new launch takes the top spot from the 100 Corsaro, which Riva premiered in 2017. To preserve a family feel for styling, Riva had Officina Italiana Design team with the Ferretti Group’s in-house engineers. The 110 Dolcevita is therefore sporty in profile, with some shapely striking elements. Most notable, significant-size panes of glass dominate the main deck, plus highlight guest staterooms below decks. In fact, Riva says one single pane of glass spans the full saloon to each side.
Because this new megayacht model is semi-custom, buyers have influence over alfresco and interior features. Riva has not revealed what hull number one of the 110 Dolcevita includes. Regardless, one standard amenity is the submersible hatch for tender launch and retrieval. The 110 Dolcevita comes with your choice of a Williams Jet Tenders RIB, either the 505 or 565. A PWC or smaller watertoys can sit alongside the tender, too. If you so wish, your crew can set up lounges in the garage when the toys are in the water, to make it a beach club.
The 110-foot (33.53-meter) megayacht should feel plenty comfortable inside, given a beam of 23’9” (7.27 meters). The master suite takes advantage of this, forward on the main deck. Eight or nine friends and family can join you, accommodated below decks. The difference in the number is due to a Pullman you can request for one of the cabins.
Sea trials should confirm spirited performance numbers. Riva expects the 110 Dolcevita to see a 26-knot top end and 23-knot cruise speed with twin MTUs.
Select Riva customers will be the first to step aboard the 110 Dolcevita at her formal debut in May, in Monaco. In the meantime, watch the launch and christening:
