11 Reasons to Attend the Palm Beach Boat Show

March 11, 2024 By: Megayacht News Staff

With upwards of $1 billion worth of yachts on display, the Palm Beach International Boat Show is one of the most significant events on the annual show calendar. It’s further risen, and continuing to rise, as a must-attend for megayacht owners, buyers, and charterers. Among more than 800 yachts exhibiting at this year’s event, from March 21 to 24, here are 11 giving you good reasons to attend the Palm Beach show.

the Sunseeker 90 Ocean beach club is a terrific megayacht feature

90 Ocean, From Sunseeker Yachts

Exhibiting through its North American representative, OneWater Group, Sunseeker has several large yachts in the water. The 90 Ocean is one of them, ticking a lot of boxes for American buyers. With accommodations for eight, she has a beach area with a retractable SeaStair, simplifying water access right from on deck. A rain shower is another welcome feature in the beach area, as is transformable sunning and seating for all-day entertaining.

Calypso is among reasons to attend the Palm Beach show

Calypso, For Charter Via Fraser Yachts

If classic yachts tug at your heartstrings, then Calypso is for you. She’s a 126-foot (38.4-meter) Feadship from 1978. She underwent a significant refit over two years through 2016, making her more suitable for modern cruising. For example, the master suite moved to the main deck. Additionally, the hot tub on the sundeck gained sunpads all around it. Despite the significant change, though, Calypso remains true to her classic roots. She’s available for charter in the Bahamas year-round starting at $80,000 per week.

the CLX96

CLX96, From CL Yachts

The flagship yacht from CL Yachts has what the shipyard calls “workboat chic” looks. The 97-footer (29.5-meter) encourages clients to cruise long distances, longer than what others in her size range do. Simultaneously, she has heightened luxury amenities like the “Piazza del Sole,” a foredeck sunpad that converts to a circular cocktail area. The more luxurious amenities are inside, too, especially the champagne lounge on the main deck.

Horizon FD103 Askari

Horizon FD103, From Horizon Yachts

The FD series has been quite successful for Horizon Yachts. Askari is an FD103, with so many custom requests that you may need reminding she’s semi-custom. That’s nothing new for the shipyard, though, which is why it has her on display amid multiple other models. Firstly, she started out as an FD92. Because of all the requests, though, she became an FD103. The foredeck is a good example, with tailored tender stowage. The owners overall wanted a floating beach house spread across three decks. Definitely check out the split-use skylounge It has a bar, dayhead, and seating all under shade, open to a hot tub and dining area.

Nero is at the 2023 Palm Beach show

Nero, For Charter Via Burgess Yachts

Among all the good reasons to attend the Palm Beach show, a superyacht seemingly stepping out of history is it. Nero faithfully copies the lines of the 1930s-era Corsair, which was the pride of financial baron J.P. Morgan. The 296-footer (90.1-meter) keeps the classical charm going throughout her interior as well. A duplex master suite with its own lounge is among the highlights. Her owners had her undergo a refit in 2021 to gain new amenities as well, like a beauty salon/massage room on the upper deck. Even her tender (pictured) was refurbished. Her charter rate begins at $497,000 per week.

Ocean Alexander 35P yacht

Ocean Alexander 35P

The Ocean Alexander 35P introduces the Puro Series, with styling by Giorgio M. Cassetta. This first-time collaboration has created a 114-foot (35-meter) megayacht with sporty yet sophisticated Italian flair. A foredeck pool converts to a sunlounge, complementing a large lounge/seating area steps away. Floor-to-ceiling windows bring abundant sunshine into the polished interior for 10 guests.

Outer Reef 830 Classic Motoryacht

Outer Reef 830 Classic Motoryacht

Who doesn’t like to see a yacht christening? How about two christenings? Those are good reasons to attend the Palm Beach show, specifically visiting Outer Reef Yachts. The Outer Reef 830 Classic Motoryacht, a brand-new model, will receive the traditional champagne bath. Her owners are repeat customers who wanted more room for more enjoyment of long-range cruising. The yacht has several flexible features, including a fourth stateroom that can be a crew cabin instead.

the Pearl 95 is among reasons to attend the Palm Beach show

Pearl 95, From Pearl Yachts

The Pearl 95 is Pearl Yachts’ flagship. Exhibiting with Atlantic Yacht & Ship, the builder’s U.S. East Coast dealer, she’s a sporty head-turner. Her beach club has fold-down platforms, along with a bar. It also doubles as a tender garage. Buyers can wake up to great views, meanwhile, in the panoramic master suite. All Pearl projects come with branded dishware, cutlery, and towels, too.

the Hargrave yacht Romeo Foxtrot

Romeo Foxtrot, From Hargrave Custom Yachts

This 116-footer (35.36-meter) is her owners’ second Hargrave but first custom-build. They already have a larger Hargrave nearing completion as well, which is why Romeo Foxtrot is for sale. Her voluminous nature means she feels much larger than her LOA. If you enjoy cooking, don’t miss the galley, much like a high-end home kitchen. It has a special meal-planning nook, complete with a settee and table.

This U.S. debut is certainly among the many reasons to attend the Palm Beach show. The Sunreef 80 Eco is a good example of how builders are striving to create cleaner-cruising yachts. She has solar panels along her hull, superstructure, and hardtop. Furthermore, she generates power for propulsion and electricity from her propellers. The energy feeds a battery bank below decks.

Triumph, From Benetti Yachts

The 215-foot (65.4-meter) Triumph devotes one of her six decks to her owners as a private apartment. It includes a sauna in the en suite bath. Lots of alfresco areas mean lots of places to spend time with family and friends. This includes the two-level foredeck, with a lounge tucked against the superstructure and a raised area ideal for loose lounge chairs. Although she charters, she’s a conversation starter for your own custom Benetti as well.
