Extra Yachts describes the X110 Fast series as 915 square feet (85 square meters) of freedom across three decks. You might describe the 40-knot, 106-footer (32-meter) as a modern and modish retreat away from shore. The shipyard and Miami-based designer Giuseppina Arena are providing the first glimpses at the possibilities for the X110 Fast yacht interiors. Overall, the seemingly simple, restrained palette is deceiving. Layering of complementary tones and adding specific textures creates a subtle energy to keep you excited about your cruising experience.

Lending a little liveliness make sense, since the X110 Fast yacht is a spirited performer. The 40-knot maximum speed and 30-knot cruising speed come from twin MAN engines. Of course, you can kick things up a notch, by choosing the optional engine package. Specifically, it combines triple, slightly more powerful MAN engines.

Energy comes from the physical configuration, too. Extra Yachts makes you feel like you’re aboard a much larger vessel in the open-plan saloon and dining area. By playing with the deck levels, it’s created almost 10 feet (3 meters) of headroom here. Arena, meanwhile, plays with materials to draw more attention to the sculpted angles creating those ceiling heights.

So, too, does she play with light. Whether you’re in the staterooms below decks—including the master suite—or the main lounge, sunlight is as much a part of the experience. It reflects off lacquers, for instance, plus streams through skylights, especially in the master stateroom. Additionally, natural light enhances the saloon thanks to a hallmark of the Extra Yachts’ Fast line, that being a lowering window between the open galley and the aft deck. Altogether, the X110 Fast yacht interiors showcase leather, glass and fabrics intertwined, and custom-made furnishings of wood or tone-on-tone lacquer.

Of course, life onboard isn’t just about the interior. The carbon-composite superyacht has a flying bridge ideal for dining, cocktails, good conversations, and sun worshipping. Yet another outdoor space you’ll appreciate: the three-level beach area. The swim platform, with a transformer section, sits at the very edge. Arguably the best area, though, is the central sunning space. Fold-down bulkheads broaden the beam to 29 feet (9 meters) from 25 feet (7.6 meters).
