Vacationers seeking to spend their time on the water in high style have met their match. The bronze paint enrobing the charter yacht Raja² is just the beginning. Amid her decks, audacious design choices practically pull you in, immersing you in a world that is entirely its own.
Every yacht is her owner’s vision, and the yacht Raja² is of course no different. However, she is equal parts the vision of Gian Marco Campanino, the art director for The Italian Sea Group. Admiral Yachts, which built the colorful 181-footer (55-meter), is a brand of the Group. Campanino feels no obligation to adhere to trends or norms in megayacht design. Everything he creates is highly stylized, blending strong shapes, textures, tones, and materials. In fact, the bold colors and surfaces from room to room and deck to deck with Raja² are anything but backdrops to the onboard experience. They are the experience, as much as cruising is.

In fact, the moment charter guests step inside, they not only see, but also feel the difference. The perfect example is the circular formal dining area. It sits directly inside the doors, and while it could become an indoor-outdoor space by keeping the doors open, it really is worth experiencing undistracted. Alternating white and black marble underfoot and a custom chandelier above the table heighten the drama and formality.
What happened to the saloon, you ask? the yacht Raja² certainly has a lounge, but it is no ordinary one. A sinuous settee clad in purple leather sits center stage. It simply must be sat upon to take in the views—which include Calacatta gold marble on the walls.
With glossy Canaletto walnut wood contrasting against sandblasted and bleached oak with a dark-chocolate stain, the décor continues to dazzle. Arguably, the most dazzling display of décor is the upper-deck bar. The uninterrupted bar extended from inside the lounge straight out to the alfresco lounge is clad is inky black and predominantly white marble. The white defines the inside, while the black defines the outside.
Although an abundance of beach-chic, soft- and neutral-toned decors characterize most new projects, Campanino and the owner of the yacht Raja² took an entirely different approach. They strove for, and created, a vibrant, decidedly contemporary environment.

Currently cruising Croatia, Greece, Montenegro, and Turkey—yet another different choice for the winter season—Raja² has a weekly charter rate starting at €350,000. She is part of the central listing of IYC.
