What makes the superyacht sector so interesting is when owners come along with novel ideas The owner of the Rossinavi-built BEL1 is a good example. He was anything but content with the typical balance of alfresco and interior real estate on custom yachts. With the shipyard and design teams, he created an architecturally complex and incredibly creative floating home. The interior of the yacht BEL1 particularly benefits in so many ways.
Commissioned by an owner who strove for an iconic design, this 164-footer (50-meter) saw delivery in July. She has far more inside space than any other yacht of similar size. (Similarly, she has more outside space, too.) The first scenes in the video here, in fact, give a glimpse at how it’s done. Fulvio De Simoni, the designer responsible for styling, created a mezzanine deck to straddle the main and upper decks. The owner and guests therefore experience a sense of unprecedented volume when relaxing in the saloon’s aft seating area.
The interior of the yacht BEL1 additionally is serene, thanks to the studio Enrico Gobbi – Team for Design. Warm, welcoming, modern, and classy all are apt descriptions. Brushed American walnut wood and matte-finished Thai wood line the walls. So, too, does leather. Together, the owner and the design studio further selected complementary color palettes. Therefore, taupes, greys, and even some blacks come into play. There are all different tones of these palettes as well, from pale to deep.
Making the interior of the yacht BEL1 all the more interesting, though, is the grand lobby. It makes a significant and immediate impression on guests because a honeycomb aluminum stairway rises up through it. The treads are backlit as well.
Pretty and practical, this yacht certainly pushed Rossinavi, De Simoni, and Gobbi further than previous projects. Anyone who cruises by will get a hint of the complexity when seeing the above-mentioned mezzanine. They further can appreciate other details, like the sceptre-like design on the bow. Black paint effectively calls attention to the yacht’s sinuous styling—and creates a continuity of color from the interior.
Enjoy these views of the interior of the yacht BEL1, which additionally benefits from balconies and opening beach-club platforms. You may find you like them as much as the owner does.
