Long-range steel yachts tend to be big superyachts. In keeping with Bering Yachts’ goal of making global cruising more accessible to more owners, it launched the newest hull in its Bering 88 yacht series.
The series inaugurated two years ago, with this marking the second hull so far. With a length just shy of 86 feet, she carries about 10,300 gallons of fuel. That permits covering a lot of ground with her twin Cummins engines. According to Bering Yachts, the Bering 88 yacht can put more than 5,000 nautical miles behind her while traveling at 8½ knots.

Overall, 2,755 square feet of space – more than on hull number one – exists for enjoying travels. Interior areas are laid out for celebrating special dinners, mapping out voyages, and more. The Bering 88 yacht can accommodate a party of 10, for instance, including in a full-beam master stateroom. (Beam is a healthy 27 feet.) A crew of five has cabins, too, so that you can spend more time with friends and family.
One of the best places to spend time together is the flying bridge, the uppermost of the Bering 88 yacht’s three decks. A bar and big observation seating area invite you and your guests to take in the sights while relaxing. Elsewhere out on deck, dining and further checking out the surrounding cruising grounds are possible as well.

“We can’t wait to take her out for the first sea trials and see how she performs,” says Alexei Mikhailov, Bering Yachts’ founder and CEO. Besides the above-mentioned expected cruising speed, the stalwart megayacht should top out at 10½ knots at half load. “This boat is fully equipped for the long journeys ahead,” Mikhailov asserts, “completely self-sufficient, with everything needed for weeks of independent life at sea.”
This was Bering Yachts’ second launch of the year, following the celebration for the yacht Slow Ride in January.
