For more than a decade, Italy-based Valdenassi has been producing teak gratings and outdoor furniture for the megayacht market. While its traditional-looking seating and storage chests attract interest, so, too, do some of Valdenassi’s more unusual products. The new Tommy poufs definitely fall into that category.
These cushy stools, measuring 16 inches wide and standing 22 inches tall, were designed to echo the lines of box trees. They even come in bright green, with a terra cotta “pot.” Other fun colors for the pouf include orange, pink, bronze, metallic, and straightforward black or white. The base is further available in white or black as well. No mere deck ornaments, they’re meant to be used. Valdenassi says they’re ideal as extra seats at an alfresco table or in the cockpit, and even as a reception chair at the top of the passarelle.
For those of you who like to add a bit of bling to your on-deck spaces, consider the Tommy De Luxe version of the poufs. They’re complete with Swarovski crystal studs.
No matter how you order them, the Tommy poufs are made of salt- and water-resistant faux leather, with a polyethylene base. The faux leather is further treated with Teflon to repel dirt.
