The “family” that Ocean Alexander envisioned when it created the Puro series is complete. Currently, the Ocean Alexander 40P yacht (above) and Ocean Alexander 30P yacht (below), the newest models, are in production.
A three-model series, Puro inaugurated with the debut of the Ocean Alexander 35P yacht in 2024. According to Johnny Chueh, the builder’s president, “From the beginning, the ambition was to create more than a single model. We wanted to build a family of yachts with a clear identity, one that speaks to owners around the world.” A high level of luxury, for example, and styling that would appeal to buyers whether in America or Asia, were key concepts. Simultaneously, Ocean Alexander’s reputation for long-range yachts and incorporating abundant stowage, among other practical features, needed to remain intact.

Even with the common threads, though, “each yacht has its own personality,” notes Dan Mundy, Ocean Alexander’s head of global operations. So, for instance, alfresco dining can take place on both the upper deck and top deck of the Ocean Alexander 40P yacht. While loose lounges forward on the upper deck of the Ocean Alexander 30P yacht invite the owners and guests to enjoy the views, her bigger sister has a much larger conversation area. The difference in the LOAs account for some of these variances. The 30P measures 103’7” (31.58 meters), while the 40P is 132’1” (40.27 meters).
Both models remain semi-custom, of course, affording each owner the chance to differentiate them even more. Opt for a big bar facing the port side aft and an equally large conversation area opposite it on the top deck of the 40P yacht, for example. If you’d rather rim the full aft edge with seating, though, that’s also possible. The bar can move just forward, between the seating area and the dining table beneath the hardtop. Yet another ample seating and sunning zone occupies the foredeck, ahead of the wheelhouse.

Despite the Ocean Alexander 30P yacht being cozier, you have no fewer choices. The top deck is entirely open air, making it ideal for sunset cocktails. It’s also the ideal aerie for seeing shorelines come into closer view. To accompany the foredeck loose lounges, meanwhile, Ocean Alexander offers built-in seating a few steps down.
Both modest superyachts accommodate a party of 10, with a main-deck master suite and guest cabins below decks. Cassetta Yacht Designers will work with owners to tailor areas as they wish. “Every line has intention, and every space is meant to feel natural and inviting,” says Giorgio M. Cassetta, the studio head. ‘Seeing all three yachts together is especially meaningful because the design story now feels complete.”

Hull number one of each model will make her global debut at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show this October.
