What happens when a kite surfer, who also happens to be a world-record holder, decides he wants to go faster? He invents Fliteboard, an efoil, also known as an electric hydrofoiling surfboard. This super-cool (and super-quiet) watertoy has been catching waves (no pun intended) overseas for a while. Finally, it is available in the United States. This means more megayacht owners and guests can get in on the thrills.
Fliteboard offers three different platforms, depending on the rider’s weight and experience level. That’s particularly good news for those of you who have never stood on a surfboard before. Additionally, the electric watertoy can zip over and through the water at 27 mph, even when the wind is dead calm.
The February edition of the MegayachtNews.com newsletter contains articles you won’t find here on our daily updated site. For example, we tell you about how EYOS Expeditions recently made history. We also tell you about Feadship signing a modest-size megayacht, and about a terrifically talented craftsman at Burger Boat Company who accomplished some impressive achievements both as a professional and for the benefit of the entire shipyard team.
