Briefly, New Brutalism features simpler yet still-impressive structures and layouts, with strong lines, geometric shapes, and colors. Additionally, materials like cement are popular and left as is, not covered up, to showcase their natural qualities. These same walls and ceilings have equally striking grid patterns. Lighting design, meanwhile, combines both exposed circular patterns overhead and equally exposed bulbs in wall columns. In other areas, though, lighting is within the grids, for accentuating architectural designs.
