Nearly 50 megayachts will be in the water at the upcoming Cannes Yachting Festival, an event attracting international yachting enthusiasts. From September 9 to 14, the show includes everything from tenders to 150-footers (50-meters), many further offering sea-trial opportunities. Conveniently, all of the yachts exceeding 78 feet (24 meters) are in the Vieux Port section, specifically the Super Yachts Extension. Among them, more than one dozen superyachts are making Cannes Yachting Festival world premieres. These are just some of those debuts.

A80new, by Arcadia Yachts
The first raised-pilothouse yacht from Arcadia Yachts measures 79 feet (23.98 meters). Still, though, she retains the characteristics of all of the builder’s boats, namely solar panels plus a widebody design. The widebody design especially benefits the master suite, forward on the main deck. Still on the subject of space, the A80new yacht’s upper deck is sizable for her LOA, 861 square feet (80 square meters).

Azimut Grande 30M
The Azimut Grande series continues to grow, with a 94’6″ (28.8-meter) model putting a twist on the upper deck. Specifically, the skylounge aboard the Azimut Grande 30M yacht is nearly entirely glass, with the floor-to-ceiling sections opening on three sides. Azimut calls the upper deck the Infinity Deck, too, since it’s a single level all the way to the alfresco lounging area. Styling is by Alberto Mancini, with interiors by m2atelier.

Benetti Class 44M Yacht
A 144-footer (44-meter) with four decks is a pretty big yacht. Fittingly, the Benetti Class 44M yacht is Benetti’s fiberglass flagship. The yacht Juno’s 7 is the first in the series, and one of the largest of the Cannes Yachting Festival world premieres. Among the stand-out amenities are a sixth stateroom, instead of the traditional five, aft on the upper deck. And, since so many cruisers crave outdoor space, 1,100 square feet (102 square meters) of usable sundeck area is aboard.

Iva, Extra X90 Fast
Just launched earlier this month, the first X90 Fast from Extra Yachts should live up to her model name by cruising at a quick 24 knots. This 92-footer (28-meter) isn’t just about speed, however. The yacht Iva is for enjoying more comforts, especially space, compared to traditional fast yachts. This includes 926 square feet (86 square meters) of total alfresco space to use throughout each day.

Lalabe, by Van der Valk Shipyard
A multi-generational family are using this fully custom 116-foot (35-meter) trideck from Van der Valk Shipyard as a floating residence. She’s fully custom because the owners couldn’t get everything they wanted from the models from semi-custom builders. Some highlights include fully opening glass wrapping around three sides of the upper-deck saloon and a galley they use as much as their chef does.

Lazzara UHV 100
“UHV” stands for Ultra High Volume, and the 225-gross-ton volume for this 100-footer (30.5-meter) exceeds the norm. A party of 10 can enjoy 2,800 square feet (260 square meters) of interior space and 1,345 square feet (125 square meters) of alfresco space. The latter includes an elevated foredeck where everyone can spread out among a seating area with cocktail tables, a sunning/observation settee, and a pool.

Majesty 100 Terrace
The Majesty 100 Terrace is the entry-level model for Majesty Yachts’ Superyachts range. A handful of fixed and fold-down balconies lend the model her name. Breakfasts at anchor become extra special, for example, thanks to fold-down side platforms flanking the aft-deck dining spot. Arguably, the best area aboard is the main-deck master suite. A sliding glass door—part of a wall of glass—yields access to a cozy covered foredeck porch, boasting 270-degree views.

Outer Reef Adventure 780
How many Cannes Yachting Festival world premieres are coming fresh off a maiden voyage exceeding 2,300 nautical miles? This small superyacht is. The shakedown cruise took the Outer Reef Adventure 780 from the shipyard in The Netherlands to France. Like all Outer Reefs, engineering is for long-range cruising, including ocean crossings. The yacht features three staterooms, with four staterooms available for future hulls.

Picchiotti Gentleman 24
The Picchiotti Gentleman 24 is from the Picciotti Gentleman fleet, featuring looks reminiscent of 1960s-era American cruisers. Expect to see a casually chic ambience onboard. Since the 78-footer (24-meter) is part of a series, created with Luca Dini Design & Architecture, owners have latitude in looks and layout. Interestingly, The Italian Sea Group, which owns Picchiotti, is offering the Gentleman fleet in LOAs to 180 feet (55 meters).

Riva 112 Dolcevita Super
Style and speed are hallmarks for Riva, and the recently launched Riva 112 Dolcevita Super is no different. Her sleek, sexy profile comes from Officina Italiana Design, responsible for every Riva of the past few decades. Glossy rosewood and black leather flow throughout the interior, meanwhile, including the five staterooms. Speed-wise, she should top out at 25½ knots and cruise at 23 knots.

RJ, by Cantiere delle Marche
Of all the Cannes Yachting Festival world premieres, the yacht RJ is the largest by length. LOA: 153 feet (46.71 meters). This length also makes her the largest delivery from Cantiere delle Marche. The owners are repeat customers who appreciate the shipyard’s emphasis on robustly engineered globetrotters. Throughout the interior, from the five staterooms to saloons, the owners worked with Achille Salvagni to create “a soulful floating home,” the designer says.

Sanlorenzo SX120
Sanlorenzo’s SX series is a crossover range, blending the looks of traditional motoryachts with those of explorer yachts and flying-bridge yachts. You wouldn’t know it to see her, but the SX120 has four decks. Of all the relaxation areas onboard, Sanlorenzo is most proud of the “Smart Island.” This modular seating area on the flying bridge quickly converts into a variety of configurations, from sociable to cozily secluded.

Sundance, by Silent Yachts
The yacht Sundance is the first SY80, Silent Yachts’ flagship electric catamaran series. Solar panels on the hardtop feed a battery bank, which in turn powers twin electric motors. According to Silent Yachts, this should permit a top speed of 12 knots and a cruising speed around 7 to 8 knots. Sundance is a two-deck version of the SY80. Both 3-Deck Open and 3-Deck Closed configurations are available, too.

Singolare, by Tankoa Yachts
This nearly 148-footer (45-meter) is hull number two in the Tankoa T450 series. But, she’s far more customized and therefore far different from hull number one, Go. For instance, the walk-in wardrobe in the master suite is the size of a VIP suite. Although the galley is below decks, it’s not small, additionally featuring walk-in refrigerator and freezer areas. Plus, the upper deck is nearly entirely for wellness, not a typical indoor-outdoor skylounge.

Besides booking tours aboard these Cannes Yachting Festival world premieres, you can explore the brands along the show’s Innovation Route. The companies range from makers of alternative-fuel engines to providers of connected services.
