With an expected best range of 4,100 nautical miles, the yacht Juno’s 7 likely has Mediterranean and Caribbean cruising in her sights. Her owner and his family took one step closer to that becoming reality yesterday, since the yacht launched at Benetti.
Juno’s 7 is hull number one in the Benetti Class 44M series, a four-deck 144-footer (44-meter). According to Daniela Petrozzi, Benetti’s sales director, “this yacht is our fiberglass flagship.” Space allocation certainly rivals that of other shipyard’s models in the same size range. The four decks of course play a big role in that. So, too, does about 1,100 square feet (102 square meters) of usable sundeck space.
These caught the eye of an American buyer, who is the owner behind Juno’s 7. Several additional factors appealed to him as well. For example, Giorgio M. Cassetta of the design studio suggested a relaxed, casually classy interior ambience to characterize the series. Aboard this yacht, mirrored portions of the walls in the saloon help amplify the light and bright nature of the room. They additionally help amplify the airiness of the overall 30-foot (9-meter) beam. Yet another aspect the owner liked was being able to have a sixth stateroom instead of the more traditional five for a megayacht of this size. The sixth stateroom specifically is a VIP, sitting aft on the upper deck. Although some people might assume this is the master suite, the owner’s cabin is actually forward on the main deck.

Additionally, the yacht Juno’s 7 makes good use of FSC-certified wood, a strong recommendation from Benetti and Cassetta. FSC is the Forest Stewardship Council, an independent organization verifying that wood comes from responsibly managed forests and that the harvesting process is responsible as well. Furthermore, the supplier craftspeople who cut and mill the wood receive fair wages and safety protection. Aboard Juno’s 7, antique elm lies underfoot on every deck, in varying widths and lengths plus with the natural knots. This means that more of a single elm tree was used. For walls, meanwhile, striped ash lends its own natural artistic appeal.
Since enjoying the cruise is as important as arriving at the destination with the Benetti Class 44M series, the yacht Juno’s 7 should top out at 15 knots. Notably, Benetti says high levels of soundproofing should provide peace while underway or at anchor. The shipyard also installed an air-conditioning and air-purification system exchanging air six times each hour.
Benetti will hand over Juno’s 7 to her owner and his family early next year.
