Upcoming sea trials should confirm her anticipated 30-knot top end, matching her sleek and sporty looks. The yacht Iva is officially in the water as the first X90 Fast megayacht from Extra Yachts.
Promising more glass, more space, and more elegance for a swift yacht, the X90 Fast series was unveiled in 2023. Extra Yachts tapped fellow Italian company Hot Lab for styling and interiors. As exemplified by the yacht Ivanova, the profile reflects smoother, softer lines than the X90 Fast’s bigger sister, the X99 Fast series. Still, though, the emphasis is on modern living on the water, with lots of open space and better ways of enjoying and entertaining.

To that last point, the yacht Iva has her galley aft, directly at the doors to the three-level beach area. The galley additionally has a lowering window, making service easier and reflecting a more relaxed lifestyle. This therefore isn’t a yacht for all-day white-glove formality.
The beach area is yet another notable space. It’s 538 square feet (50 square meters) of sunning, soaking, and chill-out space, aboard a 92-footer (28-meter). The beach area further unfolds over three levels, each dedicated to different activities. So, for instance, the owners and guests—eight to 10 people—can dine on the upper level, since it’s closest to the galley. Next comes one of the best spots to enjoy the views and literally soak up the sun, a C-shaped seating area adjoining a sunpad. Finally, at the water’s edge, the swim platform encourages slipping into the sea or boarding watertoys—or both. Overall, the beach area occupies the the majority of the 926 square feet (86 square meters) of total alfresco space for the owners and the guests to use throughout each day.

Since Extra Yachts prioritizes volume, too, the interior looks and feels light and bright. Between 23 feet (7.1 meters) of beam and big windows, the saloon and below-decks staterooms are welcoming. At the same time, the crew get dedicated passageways to access their cabins below deck plus the sundeck.
Once sea trials begin, Extra Yachts expects Iva to cruise at 24 knots. Her best range should come at 12 knots, namely 1,000 nautical miles. Power comes from triple Volvo Penta engines with IPS drives, space savers that burn less fuel than traditional shaft engines. A crew of four will handle all operations.

You can step aboard the yacht during the Cannes Yachting Festival in September.
