If what you’re viewing appears to be acres of aluminum, you’re not far off. This is just the hull portion of 266 feet (81 meters) of aluminum sailing-superyacht construction, for the code-named Royal Huisman yacht Project 412.
Royal Huisman recently moved the welded structure out from its construction shed in preparation for flipping it upright. The remaining hull work, systems integration, as well as joining with the superstructure will follow in the ensuing months.

Part of the Royal Huisman Trident 810 yacht series, the flybridge schooner employs the same engineering foundation as Sea Eagle II (below). A delivery from 2020, Sea Eagle II covered more than 45,000 nautical miles in her initial three years of cruising. Similarly, the Royal Huisman yacht Project 412, a build for a repeat client, prioritizes true global sailing. A three-mast rig and Panamax-friendly air draft of 203 feet (62 meters) are among her technical highlights. Peak shaving technology will make her more energy efficient in doing so, too.
The owner can take delivery in 2028, due to the proven engineering platform and progress so far. Naturally, full customization is taking place inside. A party of 12 can stay aboard, with a crew of 14. All of the social spaces and private retreats spring from the drawing boards of Mark Whiteley Design, who further collaborated with the owner of Sea Eagle II. Illustrations depicting the looks are being kept out of the public eye so far.

“I am proud of our great team, who made this turning point possible within just ten months,” says Peter Naeyé, CEO of Royal Huisman.
