Even with the success that Codecasa anticipates with its new Codecasa Vintage Series, the Italian yard continues to focus on the styles and sizes that have been in demand for some time. Among those is this 51-meter (167-footer).
Referred to only by her hull number so far, C 116, the yacht bears the familiar styling of Della Role, Codecasa’s long-time in-house design team. She boasts a beam of 9.5 meters (31 feet) and is equipped with a full-displacement hull. (Draft is 3.5 meters, or 11’5”.) Top speed is therefore expected to be a leisurely 17 to 17.5 knots, with power courtesy of twin 2,447-hp Caterpillar engines. Codecasa anticipates a range of 4,000 nautical miles when speed is dialed back to 13 knots.
Inside, Della Role is also directing the interior design. The master suite illustration above showcases a mixture of dark wood paneling (possibly zebrano) and light-tone wood soles. While it’s not visible here, the master will also contain a fold-down balcony along the starboard side. This marks the first use of this setup aboard a Codecasa.
Five guest staterooms will also be onboard, featuring similarly clean and crisp decors. Pullman berths will allow family and friends to total 12. Ten crew will see to everyone’s needs.
Codecasa’s C 116 will be classed to Lloyd’s and be compliant with MCA regulations. Delivery is expected next spring.
