Approaching a major build milestone this summer, Turquoise Yachts is finally releasing more looks at its Turquoise 74M. A creamy color palette and commodious spaces inside and out should suit those in need of rest and relaxation.
The 243-footer (74-meter), whose name is not yet public, came to light last year. The Turkish builder revealed that A. Vallicelli & C. Yacht Design graced her with somewhat rounded decks, gradually rising up five levels. Back then, too, Turquoise revealed that Ken Freivokh Design was handling interior design. The hull and superstructure are in build alongside each other at the yard. They should join together this coming August.
While Turquoise provided abundant looks at the profile and on-deck features in a video, it barely revealed the interior. Until now. Meant for an owner’s party of 12, the Turquoise 74M emphasizes “classical elegance,” according to Ken Freivokh. Furthermore, from the lowest deck to the top deck, continuity is key. The same glossy lacquers, woods, marbles, granites, and more appear throughout, for instance. Lightness and brightness are important as well.
A central, multi-deck atrium with a sweeping staircase (top) plays prominently into the design. So, too, does the two-deck-high formal entry, complete with a dedicated area for a striking sculpture. Guests can enjoy drinks in the full-beam skylounge (below), with two facing, significant-size settees. Beam is 46’6” (14.2 meters). For mind and body relaxation, the Turquoise 74M also has a massage room, a steam room, and an indoor-outdoor gym.
Since family time is key, the master suite has a bit of an unusual arrangement. Encompassing 1,076 square feet (100 square meters) on the upper deck, it includes a kids’ cabin. Alternately, the cabin suits a personal assistant, or a bodyguard. Benefitting from privacy due to its location, the suite has its own alfresco area with a hot tub as well.
Guests can take a dip in the 23-foot-long (7-meter-long) pool down on the aft main deck. That is, if they don’t take a dip in the sea off the beach club. Come nighttime, five guest staterooms await. Since some adjoin, they therefore can convert into suites with saloons.
With a 20-person crew plus the captain, the Turquoise 74M is on pace for a 2019 delivery.
