For the past few years, Austin Parker has been reinventing its model line. The designs are sleeker and more modern, thanks to design work from Fulvio Di Simoni. Like-minded buyers seeking thrilling performance are taking note of the new flagship, the Ibiza 85. The owner of hull number one recently took delivery, about a year after Austin Parker revealed the contract. At certain angles, the Ibiza 85 looks much like a sleek maxi. However, once she turns to reveal her stern, it’s an entirely different story. Di Simoni gives her an unexpectedly open aft area, stretching from the edge of the deckhouse. It’s a multi-level area, too. Sunning and lounging sandwiches between dining (for 10) and swimming/watertoy boarding. Since they cascade down into each other, owners and guests are enjoying together time better than most.

This enormous amount of open space may make you believe the Ibiza 85 is for young buyers and families. However, Austin Parker and Di Simoni decidedly disagree. In fact, they created technical solutions to address more mature owners’ and guests’ needs. For instance, the side decks are wider than normal. This, and the well-positioned grabrails, make moving from the aft deck to the forward sunning lounge easier. Additionally, the full-beam (23 feet/7 meters) swim platform lowers and raises hydraulically; no swim ladder needed. Plus, most of the 50-foot-long (15-meter-long) aft deck is the same level as the inside saloon and the bow lounge.
For everyone’s convenience, regardless of generation, the Ibiza 85 has even more benefits. Refrigerators and freezers sit just beneath the hardtop. This way, your crew doesn’t need to head below decks to the galley. That interior area can be open-air, too. Two side windows retract hydraulically, as does the glass door aft. And, all four staterooms below deck, including the master (above), feature woods and finishes of buyers’ choice.

Speed kings and queens will appreciate how the Ibiza 85 makes fast work of getting around. Twin 2,000-MAN engines with Arneson surface drives reportedly allow hull number one to max out at 40 knots. Austin Parker says you can opt for triple 2,000-hp MANs to push the megayacht to about 47 or 48 knots instead if you wish.
Besides having a handful of helm seats, the crew have helpful features for their needs. The big sunpad aft houses the tender and other toys, along with fenders or other gear.
