In time for the 2028 summer season, an American who plans a mix of charter and private journeys will take delivery of a semi-custom Bilgin Yachts project. In fact, the Bilgin NB90 yacht, hull two in the yard’s 53-meter series, may not sit still much.
First and foremost, the megayacht will be a charter yacht, according to Berkay Yilmaz, Bilgin’s commercial director. That, he says, is “particularly exciting for us.” He continues, “We believe this yacht will travel widely, be seen often, and become a highly viable yacht on the international scene.” To that end, the 173-foot Bilgin NB90 yacht will entertain clients on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean.

The shipyard is additionally confident because the series evolved from the feedback of a previous customer with deep ownership experience. That contract signing took place at the Monaco Yacht Show last year. Furthermore, the series reunites the builder with two longtime design partners, namely Unique Yacht Design and Hot Lab. Unique Yacht Design is responsible for both styling and naval architecture. Hot Lab is handling interior design.
With this being hull number two, yet more design enhancements have taken place with the owner’s representatives from Edmiston. Edmiston will represent the superyacht for charter, too, so the team conveyed features and amenities that guests frequently request. Of course, an easy flow between indoor and alfresco areas is a priority. The sundeck and outdoor spaces on the bridge and main decks are especially ample. Inside, meanwhile, “architectural precision and softness” come together, says Enrico Lumini, Hot Lab’s partner and design director. Naturally warm colors keep the ambience welcoming and timeless, for example, and fluid shapes add modern appeal. “The result is an elegant, tactile, and sea-connected onboard experience,” he notes.

The signing of the Bilgin NB90 yacht is just the latest in a few for American owners. Just last month, for instance, Bilgin Yachts revealed that John Staluppi would be building his last boat, and Bilgin’s biggest to date. LOA: 269 feet (82 meters).
