The yacht Suzie Q, the newest semi-custom project from Majesty Yachts, will be in her owner’s hands in a few weeks. Hull number one of the Majesty 145 yacht lowered into the water at the shipyard this past week. She represents the same vision as bigger boats in the builder’s lineup.
Based in the United Arab Emirates, Majesty Yachts naturally uses the annual Dubai International Boat Show for formal concept reveals. At last year’s show, it not only unveiled this megayacht model, but also signed the contract for this hull. “What makes this moment special is the pace at which this project has progressed,” notes Mohammed Hussein Alshaali, chairman of Gulf Craft. (Gulf Craft is the parent company of Majesty Yachts.)
The layout is noteworthy, too. “Integrating a six-cabin layout within this size bracket is also a rare achievement,” he continues. In fact, he adds, it’s ”typically reserved for larger superyachts.” At 148 feet (45 meters) LOA, the Majesty 145 yacht certainly would be more typical if she had five staterooms. Instead, five staterooms for friends and family take up much of the lower deck. The standard configuration is three doubles and two twins. The owner’s stateroom remains forward on the main deck.

Along the same lines, Gulf Craft is positioning the model as a stronger complement to two of its bigger boats. Namely, they’re the Majesty 160 yacht, coming later this year, and the existing Majesty 175 series (below). Customarily, semi-custom builders refer to a mid-size model as filling a gap in its lineup.
Offering a volume of about 326 gross tons, the Majesty 145 yacht further offers multiple alfresco layouts. Gulf Craft hasn’t revealed what this owner selected. Regardless, the sundeck, aft decks, and foredeck all have a variety of arrangements from which to choose. With every configuration, two infinity pools—one aft on the sundeck and one off the swim platform—let guests cool off.

Inside, the owner collaborated with the builder’s in-house designers and Cristiano Gatto Design. Among the amenities are a gym aft of the wheelhouse, plus an infrared sauna.
Gulf Craft may use either the upcoming Monaco Yacht Show or Dubai show (postponed to November) to showcase Suzie Q. It hasn’t yet indicated when a Majesty 145 will make a trip to the United States.
